India To Take On China In Asian Champions.
Asian Champions Trophy: Hosts India will take on China in their opener in Chennai.

The Indian men's hockey team will open its Asian Champions Trophy campaign against China on the opening day of the tournament to be played at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium here from August 3 to 12. Defending champion South Korea will clash against Japan in the tournament opener.
After China, India will play Japan on August 4. The host will then cross swords with Malaysia on August 6 followed by the game against Korea a day later. India will take on Pakistan in the final league stage match on August 9. The semifinals are sceduled for August 11 while the summit clash will take place on August 12 . India (2011, 2016 & 2018) and Pakistan (2012, 2013 & 2018) are the most decorated nations in the tournament.
The six-team-event which runs till August 12 will see Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, Japan, China and India battle it out for top honours in a single-pool league competition. The home team will take on Japan in their second outing on August 4. The marquee match between India and Pakistan is on August 9. The tournament was last held in 2021 in which South Korea emerged champions. India has won three titles so far.
